The linen used to make this blanket has been dew retted. This is the most natural way to extract pectins (what is woven into linen) from the flax. It uses the least amount of water of all retting processes and is completely sustainable.

Cool to the touch and at once practical and luxurious, this fabric makes it easy to understand why linen was sometimes used as a form of Ancient Egyptian currency.
